The University of Kansas Cancer Center brings together the region’s premier multidisciplinary sarcoma team to treat uncommon and aggressive tumors and benign, soft-tissue diseases. Specialists from adult and pediatric medical, radiation and surgical oncology, pathology, orthopedics and cancer rehabilitation all work together to provide the most accurate diagnosis and individualized bone cancer treatment plans.

Nurse practitioner Kim Haynes, RN, has dedicated more than 20 years to musculoskeletal oncology. Her focus is in patient education and care before treatment and during recovery.
Tracy Slimmer, RN
Nurse coordinator Tracy Slimmer, RN, assists in patient care and education and is the liaison between the surgical and medical oncology teams.
