Research Programs
Collaboration is at the heart of major scientific breakthroughs. To provide an optimal environment for scientists and clinicians to work together, The University of Kansas Cancer Center created 3 research programs, supported in part by the National Cancer Institute Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG). More than 350 cancer center members, including laboratory scientists, clinical investigators, population health researchers and healthcare providers, make up these 3 programs.
Each multidisciplinary program focuses on a different area of cancer research. Due to the complex nature of cancer itself, scientists work across programs, convening the specialists they need to advance their work.
