Fellowship and Residency
The University of Kansas Cancer Center offers a wide variety of fellowship and postdoctoral programs. Residents and fellows work closely with cancer center faculty to gain valuable, necessary skills for a successful career.
Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs serves as a central platform for information, resources and opportunities that ensure the best possible experience for postdoctoral scholars at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
The office develops nonresearch-related training that enhances a postdoctoral scholar's development as well as oversees policies and procedures, advocates on behalf of the postdoctoral community, and leverages campus and community resources to ensure the success of scholars both during their postdoctoral appointment and in their transition to the next phase of their career.
Residency and fellowship programs
The University of Kansas School of Medicine, Graduate Medical Education Office, oversees the residency and fellowship programs, as well as nonaccredited programs.
These programs offer organized educational support, guidance, and supervision for professional and personal growth while also providing appropriate patient care. Furthermore, these programs are intended to prepare physicians for the independent practice of medicine, without direct supervision as well as assisting in the commitment to the lifelong learning process that is critical for maintaining professional growth and competency.
