Updated: Sunday, July 21, 11 a.m. CDT

The University of Kansas Health System is returning to normal processes following the global CrowdStrike disruption on Friday, July 19.

  • Our IT support teams have worked around the clock through the weekend to ensure all systems are fully back online.
  • While we anticipate some lingering issues could surface as our teams return to work Monday, patients' scheduled appointments will  be unaffected.

The health system is thankful and proud of the work done by our IT and medical teams to safely care for patients through this technical disruption.

We extend our appreciation to our patients, and anyone who may have experienced delays, for their patience and understanding during this worldwide technical disruption.

Friday, July 19, 2:30 p.m. CDT

The University of Kansas Health System is experiencing some delays due to the worldwide CrowdStrike technology issue.

Where our systems are affected, we have transitioned to our prepared alternate downtime processes.

Patient care continues across the system. However, if your scheduled care is impacted by this issue, our teams will do their best to notify you in advance and reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.

We will continue to update this page with new information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your patience.

  • July 19, 2:30 p.m. CDT - All pharmacy locations are now open for regular business hours

  • July 19, 1:30 p.m. CDT - Calls to health system call centers and clinical areas may experience longer than usual on-hold times. Our team is working across the system to restore the affected systems that may be resulting in the higher influx of calls.

  • July 19, 11:30 a.m. CDT -  MyChart is experiencing intermittent access and functionality issues. This may impact your ability to message your care team or request prescription refill requests at this time.

We continue to focus on improving these issues.
